Facilitation

We facilitate meetings, retreats, conferences, brain-storming sessions, and any conversation that could benefit from a trained facilitator. A good facilitator keeps the group 'on task' and keeps an eye on the process (who is speaking - who is not, power dynamics, and patterns concerning members of different ages, genders, and cultures). By asking the right questions, a facilitator empowers the group to find their own creative solutions.  They ensure opinions and knowledge of the entire group is considered, not just the few members who typically speak up.

We also train leaders and team members to facilitate more effective
meetings.  We use third-party mediation, live-action coaching,
direct communication and other strategies to increase the productivity
at every meeting.

"The facilitator is a catalyst with and exciting role: to help people accomplish what they want to accomplish. Without a facilitator, a group may struggle without direction or process"
                                                                                -Fran Rees

Benefits of facilitation:

  • Deepen group development.
  • Increases group cohesion and authenticity.
  • Increases ability of members to bring ideas forward.
  • Increases productivity during meetings, eliminating the question “what are we doing here?”
  • Increases ability to resolve conflicts and return to the meetings objective.
  • Live-action coaching in the moment so team members can learn a new way of interacting with each other.
  • Decreases group's reliance on their leader.
